Motion and Panning

I used about 1/1000 for a shutter speed for this photo. What ISO and WB settings did you use? I captured Hailey jumping. I was about 7 feet away from Hailey and I was in line with her. The photo has a lot of negative and positive space, and there is texture in the background. The white and navy blue of Hailey's shirt are very strong and there is a sharp contrast between the solid colors of Hailey and her clothes and the gray and pattern of the background.

I used 1/60 for a shutter speed for this photo. What ISO and WB settings did you use? Hailey's entire body shows blur. The picture shows Hailey jumping and her body is moving from one platform to another .I was about 7 feet away from Hailey and in line with her. There is contrast between Hailey's leggings and the wall, and the rule of thirds applies to the picture.

What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
Abby and I used the purple light for this picture.
We drew lines all throughout the space to create this image.
I think the viewer will feel happy while looking at the photo.

I think the shallow depth of field is a better photo because it is more interesting of a picture. You would use a shallow depth of field to focus on a subject of a picture. If you were trying to take a picture of something with many interesting pieces you would want to use a large depth of field.

What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field? What ISO and WB settings did you use? If you were on a point and shoot camera, what setting(s) did you use?
Photo 2
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field? What ISO and WB settings did you use? If you were on a point and shoot camera, what setting(s) did you use?
I think photo 2 is better because more of the picture is in focus.

Favorite place/thing
I chose to take pictures of the mountains in New Hampshire. I visit these mountains every year and it is my favorite place. I mostly photographed the mountains from above because we were on a ski lift but as we went up the lighting and angles we could see the mountains from changed which allowed me t photograph the mountains in different ways. Because the mountains take up most of the frame there was not really a problem with a distracting background. In most of the pictures there is a large depth of field.
